Mare Nostrum

Back to the Auditorium to see another Fresu project.
Mare Nostrum is an expression used by ancient Romans to call the Mediterranean Sea. Litterally it means "Our sea".
Mediterraneo as meeting place of different cultures but also as departure point to explore new unknown territories. Paolo Fresu, Richard Galliano e Jan Lundgren. Sardinia (Italy), Provence (France) and Sweden – trumpet, accordeon and piano – three worlds that meet!

They brought the audience in this journey with them...and as you can see from the photo...in their boat in the sea.

Last song of the concert: "Sì dolce è il tormento" written in 1964 in Venice by Monteverdi
